DELOADING PHASE INITIATED...

So yeah this is my first session of my first week of deloading. For this week, I'll use 80%-85% of the weight I could use for the fixed amount of reps.
I can't say that I enjoy deloading but I think it was needed at this point, to come back stronger for the next routine cycle.

Also there is going to be some changes for the next cycle, I think I will start squatting on both leg days and on the day without regular deadlift, I will add SLDL to replace leg curl. It will be my first time doing SLDL but I heard great things about it.

Here it is :

Day1 LOWER (80-85% for deload)

Squat
warmup with bar only
5x135
5x135
5x135

SLDL (since its my first time I started low increasing slowly the weight to keep good form)
5x135
5x185
5x205
At this point I am not sure what % is 5x205 but I definitely had a couple reps left in me. So I'll gauge a little bit more next week, don't want to do too much since I'm deloading.

Leg press
500x8
500x8
500x8

Standing Calf raise
340x9
340x8
340x8
(yeah I didn't really deload my calves, I think they really don't need the rest)

Overall I don't like deloading but I guess it is more relaxing. I am glad I started doing SLDL though, it is a really really fun exercice and much more intuitive technique than I thought it would be. I think this is the start of a long lasting relationship between me and SLDL hehe.

Yea, Deload is boring but necessary especially after weeks of pushing the limits.
Use to to SLDL until I had to cut something out bc the lower back had too much volume, great exercise.

Good Job!
