Default Who Needs a F'ing Treadmill for Cardio?!!

Appreciate the feedback men. Coming from you guys, it means alot and stokes the ol fire to keep pushing.

Whole upper body felt "nicely" sore after yesterday's w/o.

Today was a conditioning w/o that went totally nuclear on me!! Don't know why...I guess if you've "got an itch"...MUST SCRATCH!!

W/up with some mobility exercises and 2 rounds x (BB complex (75 lbs) - muscle snatch > pause squats > good mornings > BTNSP's > KBell curl & press (35lbs) > shrugs). 6-8 reps each.

BBComplex (the fun begins):

HangPowerSnatch>OverheadSquat>BSquat>GM's>BTNSP's> BBRows (75 lbs)

Reps Each - 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 (6 rounds total - shoulders were the limiting factor here - after yesterday's upper body blast). Rests btw rounds got longer along the way.

Enter the "itch":

3 rounds of KBell swings (L-hand/R-hand/2-hand)>Burpees>Knees 2 Elbows:

KBell Swings (50 lbs): 10/10/10, 10/10/10, 10/10/10
Burpees : 10, 10, 10
K2E's: 10, 10, 10

Those Kbell swings were pretty darn tough!!...Fun w/o though.

Default Now we're talking...kinda

Weighed in today at 211.5 lbs (down 3.5 lbs from last week and 5.5 lbs total). Adjusted my tracking of macros and started to see the weight drop - after the first month was no movement.

Last two days have been forced rest days since I've been sick. Haven't eaten alot, no energy, no strength, body aches, headache, and cough. Eating below maintenance and now this...hopefully it doesn't affect strength levels too much...and my next session was supposed to be squats...yeah right!!

I JUST WANTA LIFT DAM IT!!!

Even if your strength is off it will come back quickly. Stay strong.

Get well...you're first day or two back might feel weaker until you reconstitute (eat and drink!), but then you will be fine!

I have my nervous system completely crash on me. It was due to me abusing harsh stims but you will get better. Don't let it bother you, when your nervous system is healed you're going to come back stronger than before.

Default Coming Back...

Well, I finally felt somewhat ready/recovered to get back to training again. Almost a week of a brutal cough, chest congestion, body aches, sinus pressure and headache. I can only assume that my somewhat healthy lifestyle saved me from being out of comission a lot longer...I keep hearing of people being sick for 3 weeks+. So for that - THANK GOD and good food.

Yesterday's w/o:

This was to see where strength levels were at.

Empty bar (25 lbs) - 50 lbs:
muscle snatch>OHSquat>BackSquat>MP's/BTNSP's - warm up (several each)

MP/BTNSP - 100x2/2, 125x2/2, 150x2/1, MP's 160x2, 170x1, 175x1
(tied previous PR)

BBSquat - 200 x 3, 250 x 3, 300 x 1, 325 x 1 (~25 lbs short of previous PR)

DL's - 200 x 3, 250 x 3, 300 x 2, 350 x 1 (~75 lbs short of previous PR)

Note - this was all in one session, so understandable to be short of previous PRs (and considering all that my body has gone through). Definitely a big lack of energy, but reps felt really good. My son wanted to do our circuits, but there was no way. He was totally pumped - he hadn't worked out since I was sick, so he was totally ready to go - he was doing his exercises on his own, and even set up his own circuit at the end while I watched. I was a very proud papa!!!

Today's w/o:

Reps on squats and dl's felt really good yesterday, so wanted to do a little more volume today + some conditioning.

BBSquats - 150 x 6,6 200 x 6,6 250 x 6,6
SnatchPowerShrugs - 150 x 4,4 200 x 3,3 250 x 3,3

These were done as alternating sets.

Finished of with 2 rounds of 6 exercise circuit (30 sec on - 10 sec rest) with my son.

Default Almost Back!!

Yesterday was rest day.

Had an ok night of sleep. Hammies and glutes were still sore from the last w/o and strength/energy levels are still recovering from being sick. Otherwise, felt psyched for today's w/o.

Upper Body w/o:

Let the legs rest today - gearing up for a heavy squat w/o which I had missed while being sick and have put off so far while still recovering.

w/up - prisoner's squat bw x 25, push ups bw x (medx8, widex8, narrowx8), inverted rows bw x (medx8, widex8, narrowx8).

W/O - Alternating sets of BB Bench and Facepulls.

BBB (lbs)- 50x10, 100x8, 150x4, 200x1, 235x6,6,5 - 200x7, 175x8, 150x10
FP's (lbs)- 40x10, 70x10, 100x10,10,10,10,10,10 - 80x15,15

Wanted some more volume for the back...

Dead hang Pull ups (BW) x 5,4,4
WGBTNPull Downs - 150 x 6,6,6 - 125 x 10,10

Missed my rep PR on the bench by 1 rep. The weight felt pretty heavy today. Otherwise, enjoyed the w/o...upper body pump was nice. Overall energy levels were a little low.
