My squats feel great all around. As I've continued to train in gear my squat has gotten wider and wider, and in this last session I was practically at westside width. I'm not sure if it'll help me move bigger numbers, and slipping is a constant worry since I train at home, but during this last session it felt amazing.

I need to get a video though. I know my depth is good just from experience, but I may actually be going TOO deep.

A quick session tonight.

Squat- (this was an overall warmup. I can get into my bench press setup much more easily if I squat a little first.)
45x5
135x5
185x5
225x5
275x5

Bench-
45x a bunch
135x a bunch
225x5

Add slingshot-
315x3

Add chains-
315+30x3
315+50x3
315+50x3
315+50x3
315+50x3

The weights moved with ease, but I felt very unconfortable under the bar. I guess that's what happens when you get stronger, lol.

Back to squat again-
45x5
135x5
225x3
275x3

Add belt and knee wraps-
315x3
315x3
315x3
315x3

After this I did 3 supersets of leg extensions with 70lb and leg curls with 35lb, 20 reps for each set. I don't want to overdo the extensions and curls because I don't want to get sore. I just want to get a pump and flush some blood through the muscles.

Thursday will be a higher volume workout, since I'll have more time to train. Tuesdays are always a stretch to try to get a real session in.

I'm going to be using a lot more submaximal work during this transition, with enough volume and frequency to keep my strength up without burning myself out with too much intensity.

Good news is that just like last time I seem to be recovering very fast. No shutdown to speak of, and the boys never lost any size which is a good indicator that my natural test should be back at full strength soon.

Sorry I haven't been logging. Internets been down since last friday thanks to a bad storm. I'm on at work at the moment.

Saturday I decided to establish a raw squat max with my new Titan THP knee wraps. Unfortunately, I was only able to get my old max of 435. This is partly because I'm off now, and partly because I'm still getting used to these wraps. Way more hardcore than my other set, and I need to figure out just how to wrap them for the best results for me.

After squats I got shirted up for some benching, but I wasn't able to get confortable and I struggled with only 415. But I stuck it out for 3 singles with 415 to try and figure out what was wrong, then did some back off work including a raw 315x2 and 225x8.

My triceps need more work. That's where my weakness is on shirted bench, and I need to hit them hard to bring them up.

Squats last night.

Squat-
45x5
135x5
225x5

Add suit, straps down, belt on-
275x3

Straps down, belt and wraps on-
315x3
365x2
405x3
405+30x3

Straps down, belt on, no wraps-
365+30x3
365+30x2

No suit, no belt, no wraps-
315+30x1
225+30x5

Leg extensions with squeeze at the top and slow eccentric-
35x20
60x20
60x25

Every time I do suit work then try to back off my hips scream at me, probably because they never really get warmed up at the beginning. I need to keep hitting my raw squats hard, and also do more suit work with no wraps to bring up my quads. I only used wraps today because I have new wraps I'm trying to get used to.

I'm also going to incorporate some wide stance box squatting to bring up my explosion from the bottom. Lots of work to do if I want that 500+ raw squat any time soon.

Was going to do some raw bench stuff this morning, but PT was cancelled due to lightning and we have to report to work early, so no time for the gym. I may hit it this afternoon, or just double up lifts tomorrow. We'll see.

I may finally have my first legitimate powerlifting injury. Luckily, it's not too big, but I'm probably going to be feeling it for the next few days. I seem to have strained my left front delt. I actually didn't even feel like training today. When I got off, my motivation fell off as well. But I popped a caffeine pill and watched some motivational videos, and soon I was steaming to get out there and push some iron.

Bench press-
45x a bunch
135x a bunch
225x5
275x3

Add chains-
275+30x2
275+30x3
275+50x2
275+50x3
275+60x2

On that last rep of 2 with 275+60 I felt something off in my left shoulder a couple inches into the press. I finished the lift, slowly, but I racked it and immediately stopped lifting anything at all. Nothing popped or tore, but there's definitely something strained. I feel it from my collar bone over to the top of my bicep. We'll have to see how it feels in the morning.

It's a pity. This session was going fairly well. I'm moving my focus back to raw lifting to get more out of lifting alone, and hopefully this doesn't set me back too much.

I'm not worried though. Hopefully I can still squat and deadlift this weekend. I'm still feeling crazy motivated.

Thanks my friend.

I went to sick call this morning for my shoulder. They gave me some mild pain killers and gave me a profile which means I don't have to do any pushups or anything at all with my shoulder for a week, which is good because I'm going on leave next Wednesday, so it works out well.
