sounds good. I can get to depth without my straps up in my single ply with no weight. Pro could do it with straps up as well, just never tried.

Another interesting learning experience today. Squats went extremely well, bench went extremely...not well. But I know why, and I can fix it.

Squats-
45x5
45x5
135x3
135x3
225x3

Suit on, belt on, straps down-
315x2
365x2

Straps up, add knee wraps-
405x2
435x2
475x1
505x1

Straps up, belt on, no wraps-
455x2
455x2

Straps down, belt on, no wraps-
405x3
405x3

Suit off, belt on, no wraps-
365x3 PR

Bench press-
135x5
185x5
225x5

Shirt on-
315x1
365x1
385x1
385x1

Not only was I nowhere close to touching on any of my benches with the shirt, I also had more trouble than before completing the lift once I started pressing. I know why I'm having so much trouble. My rack won't let me grip the bar the way I want to. It forces me to bring in my hands a couple inches on both sides, and that small change is completely screwing my shirted bench.

I'm going to need to bust out the tools and modify my rack. This is NOT going to work as it is and it's pissing me off. I should have got a freaking looser shirt, and I'm kicking myself for putting myself into this hole. I'll make it work.

Here's the 505 squat. I've got 20, maybe 40lb left in me, but I'm terrified of dropping that kind of weight on my rails. I know for a fact that they can't take that.

That is a lot of work! Great PR with no wraps afterwards also! You will hit 550 in a few weeks.

that's a way to make sure you're motivated to not fail on the squat, i guess.

I'll tell you, after walking out with 500+, 365 felt like a feather. I get most of my rep PR's after a max single because it always feels so light. My suit fits great. It stops me right at parallel, and I agree, I'm going to move a lot more weight soon with this thing.

Haha, damn right. My stupid rails would fold like paper if I dumped these kind of weights.

Work has been a freaking nightmare lately. I had planned to train today but I had to take care of work stuff at home. It's not a big deal. I'm still feeling beat up from training a couple days ago, so I really need another day to rest. I'm going to do my damndest to train tomorrow, but it may have to wait until thursday. Either way, once I hit the iron again it's going to be heavy. My shoulders are killing me, partly from moving bags saturday and partly from my PH cycle which is reaching it's later stages. The thought of benching 225 makes me wince with pain, which means it'll probably be a big slingshot session this time around.

I don't mind. I really enjoy working wtih the slingshot. My slingshot bench isn't very far behind my raw squat at this point!

Ok, I managed to get some time to train tonight. I decided to do some bench, hoping that the couple days of rest I've had would help me go heavy. It didn't work. My shoulders still ache, and the muscles have been crampy for days since I spent all saturday moving bags.

I also continue to struggle with my rack which won't allow me to get my normal wide grip. I will eventually modify my rack to widen it, but I won't have time to do that for a little while more.

Here's what I ended up doing-

Bench-
45x10
135x5
135x5
185x3
225x3
275x3
295x1
315x1

The 315 wouldn't have been hard if I had a normal rack. But I just can't get set up right.

Bench with slingshot-
335x3

Again, I just couldn't get set up right. I decided to not go heavier today and instead back off and do some lighter weights.

Bench-
225x5
225x5
225x5

Add chains-
225+30x5
225+50x5
225+50x7

After the benching I did some generic shoulder stuff. Just a few higher rep sets of power shrugs to get the blood flowing.

My upper body just isn't responding very well at the moment. I'm frustrated. I REALLY wanted 345 raw before the end of this cycle, but now my shoulders are getting more achy every day which means I probably won't be albe to add that last 10lb.

Hopefully once I get my rack modified I can start to push myself again and get my bench moving again.

I was really excited to train today. I'm glad I got to get out there, but this session didn't go the way I wanted it to.

Keep track on how your body is feeling. Lifting equipped will develop a different type of sorness.
