Trained tonight, and came to a realization. I've been trying to train heavy and go with what gave me such good results during my last cycle, which is high intensity and going for PR's in every session. But I'll have a really good, strong session, then in the next session I'll feel weak and have trouble with the heavy stuff. Then, once I hit the weights again I'll feel great with the heavy stuff.

I've come to the conclusion that I need to schedule a heavy, high intensity session every OTHER workout, and go lighter on the sessions between. I'm going to be squatting and benching every single workout, but the lighter workouts will include some supplementary work as well.

I trained today, but I kind of went all over the place. I'll go ahead and list what I did though.

Squat with chains-

I haven't done any direct shoulder work in quite a while. The pump was crazy. It felt pretty good.

*OK, here's the story with the failed squats; I did 365+80 twice, and it felt ok. Not amazing, but ok, so I decided to move up 20lb. But when I squatted down, the 25lb plate I had hanging in my chains actually hit the ground (like it's supposed to do), but it started to roll a little (NOT what it's supposed to do). The sound and feel of the weight moving threw me WAY off and I had to put the weight down. This happened BOTH times, and it's never been an issue before. I was pissed, so I dropped the weight down and popped off the 225x15.

I havne't done benching like that in a long time either. I actually felt my chest with the higher paused rep sets, and I bet I'll feel it tomorrow too.

Squat suit might come in tomorrow. If so I'll do a session with full gear this weekend at some point and move some serious freaking weights. It's going to be a blast. An unconfortable, sore, tight blast.

Squat suit is HERE! I immediately threw on my compression pants and started slipping the suit on. After a little wiggling around I got the legs seated. It's not really that tight at all, but I definitely feel the support. I put the straps on. It was easier to get these straps on than the straps on my singlet, but as soon as I started squatting down I felt it. The straps tightened down on my shoulders. Past half way down all the weight of my body was on my shoulders.

I can't WAIT to get weight on my back with this thing. This suit isn't going to be as extreme as my shirt, but I think it'll be an absolutely perfect first suit.

Hard, long day today. Moved a shit ton of bags for the last mainbody flying over to the sand, then took care of some family stuff after that. My back and shoulders are killing me from all the bag slingin', but I really just need a good night of sleep, which I'm going to start getting in about 10 minutes.

I'll squat in my squat suit tomorrow for the first time. I'm not sure how much carryover I'll actually get, since the suit doesn't seem very tight, but I really, REALLY want 500 tomorrow. Depending on how my shoulders feel I'll also try for 400+ in my shirt, which is basically a sure thing seeing as 385 was so easy. If I can get 425 out of my shirt and 500 out of my suit I'll be a very happy camper, and hopefully with some more form work I'll be able to get a 1500 geared total soon.

I decided to go a different route after struggling so much with a more advanced, tighter shirt. I went with a centurion (non-super), size 48 which is one size up from my shirt. I can basically reach parallel with no weight on my back. Very interested to see how it works out.
