Tomorrow is bench day. I'm beginning to feel like I'm not training these muscles enough considering I squat 2-3 times a week, but at the very least it makes me hungry for progress on Mondays!

Feeling pretty stoked about hitting three plates on my bench today! I usually let out all my excitement here in my log, but I REALLY want to just stand on the roof and roar at people that walk by today. I've been on the verge of this milestone for a long time, and it went up easy today. No grinding for it, no struggle, no doubt in my mind it was going to happen. Just generally feeling like a beast at the moment.
Squats went well, I think I nailed down where I need to be for my rep goal, 275 was just a hair too light for that rep goal, so 285 should be the ticket for now.
Dips got a little crazy, I did the first set with my mind focused on needing 5 sets of 10, and when I finished that set, I suddenly realized "why the f@#$ did I stop?", so the next sets I just went balls deep. Probably had a couple more sets in there still. I'll have to go back to weighted dips and try to find the right weight to use.
Cleans were rough getting started today. I honestly felt better on the last set than the first 3. Not really sure why, but I managed anyways. Cleans are a definite weak spot for me, and I see myself hitting a wall on them soon.

Another good day for pulling. This is three weeks in a row of setting PRs. I'm going to have to make a concerted effort next week to get in some legit rep work instead of heavy singles. It sure as hell feels good hitting PRs though. Walked out of the gym with my back feeling awesome. Now I'm looking forward to squat day. One last chance to hit some PRs there before it's back to rep work next week.

More awesomeness in the PR department. I am officially done with heavy singles for a little while though. I got to 385 which was supposed to be a single, but as soon as I unracked it I knew it felt light. I decided no messing around with just ending on a single of 400 and went for it. I've done 405 in the past, but having lost some strength since then, today's 405 was a "PR", and 415 really got my head racing. I feel on top of the world with lifts like that. I was so pumped I went ahead and supersetted what was supposed to be some regular sets and felt pretty awesome about it. I've finally hit my leg press limit. I'll have to work at this another week or two before I make anymore jumps on that machine. GHR was thrown in the mix at the last minute just because I was still feeling euphoric about my squats. I wouldn't call it a success yet, as it was a real struggle just to get a few reps out, but I knew going into it that I hadn't done them enough previously, and that it's a notoriously difficult maneuver. I'll be throwing these in somewhere each week hoping for some impact on my deads. Looking forward to busting out some moderate to heavy rep work next week. It's go time!
