Day 7 of the 40 day challenge and it was 6 x singles day. I worked clean and press to 75kg which was surprising as I've not done it in a while and a 60kg strict press went up very easily.

Squatting was tough as my rhythm was distorted by sharing the rack with a guy who was doing OHP. I was doing the clean and presses and as the gym was empty, took them to the space in front of the rack with the intention to squat straight after. Then a guy comes up and asks if he can also use the rack to press. He was far bigger than me then he goes and lifts up to 35kg. I don't care what people lift but surely he could have cleaned and pressed this weight in the huge amount of space in the gym? Why did he need the rack when it was patently unnecessary? Laziness?

Anyways, my back tightened up by 85kg so I decided not to go further and I had to rush my singles. I also realised that deadlifts and RDLs were not on the menu today.

Benched up to 90kg, again with surprising ease.

It is clear that my body will never allow me to be as strong as I once hoped but I'll continue to enjoy my lifting.

Nice work with the C&P, 75kg is a good weight..... Sharing the track is never ideal unless it's with a regular training partner who you work well with,
