Thanks guys, been a while since I actually posted some training data! I'm only at medium intensity with only the 2 x leg sessions tiring me in any real way.

Saturday
Bench - worked to 82.5kg x 8 - Grind!
BB Row - Worked up to 52.5kg x 8 - Row has always been weak but this was a bit light, should easily add 10kg in the next few weeks.
Strict OHP - worked to 47.5kg x 8 - Barely made last rep and have to be careful with my back here.
Lat Pulldowns (Using some plate machine thingy) worked to 70kg x 8
Rippetoe shrugs worked to 130kg x 8 - This is the one exercise where low reps are preferable so I may do 5x3 whenever I can.
100 x reps of lower ab stuff using a couple of difference exercises.

Sunday
RDL - Worked to 115kg x 8 - Didn't warm up right as i was in a hurry and my piriformis is acting up again. Last week was the first time in weeks I did any form of deadlift moderately heavy and it was fine but not so this week. Must be careful next time.

Hack squat - worked to 55kg x 8 - Surprisingly hard, like 80x8 using a normal rack IMO!
Leg extensions - Pin 11 - 3 x 15
1 legged curl - Pin 2 - 3 x 15
Seated calf raises - 35kg - 3 x 15
Did 20 minutes cardio.

I'm just enjoying myself right now and in no hurry to add significant amounts of weight. Perhaps this will be better for me as in the past, I always went too fast. It could end up being an ironic case of me getting stronger by being less stressed about it

Ha, I agree there. Just been trying sets of 10 of these damn things lately. :/ 5x3 sounds much more sane.

Sometimes, it'll be a factor. You just have to find a system that truly works, body and mind, in the end.

Great work, great attitude, great things in future no doubt.

Haha. Hate hack squats too.

Take care of that piriformus and keep having fun. I don't think your last point is ironic at all.

Thanks guys. I'm not really posting my training as much of it is machine based. My fun is being rudely interrupted by my body as it continues to rebel against me! Tried to RDL yesterday but even at 60kg, I can feel pain and left it straight away instead of foolishly carrying on like I normally do. Tried Good Mornings and while the empty bar was fine, any kind of weight was rather painful. It's annoying but at least the pain is only debilitating and will eventually heal if I only allow it to. I do seem to be able to squat without pain so we'll test that theory out in Thursday.

I also managed to damage my sternum doing weighted dips so I can add that to any form of deadlift, rows and power cleans as the list of 'no-go' exercises. I can still bench without pain oddly enough and even bodyweight dips don't hurt but weighted dips are agony.

Nonetheless, I'm still training and when my body decides I'm ready, I'll be back doing the exercises I really enjoy!

That is 100% the spirit. Power on.

What option is there sometimes, except hammer away at the stuff we can do, while waiting to be able to do the stuff we can't...

You will heal and be smashing in no time. Do what you can until then.
