Hey guys. Been gone a while I know but I had to take some time out. I think shitty posture (I work from home at a desk) has had more to do with my back issues than lifting. I was in pain to the extent that I couldn't even leg press!
Anyways, I've more or less come to the conclusion that I am, and really only ever have been, a casual lifter and competitions of anything of that nature are not really on the horizon. I'll be lifting but I'm just going enjoy myself and see where it goes. I may or may not do 5/3/1 and I will be ensuring I don't gain too much fat Probably won't log my sessions too much but I'll definitely be popping in to all your logs from time to time.

Hey gang, I am fully back in training and actually doing 6 sessions a week. 2 x leg days, 2 x back/chest, 1 x traps/delts and 1 x bis/tris. It may not be the best training template in the world but I don't kill myself on any session and feel no fatigue afterwards. I only squat once a week and don't deadlift because my piriformis is not up to scratch but I did my first RDL session in months last week and worked up to 110kg x 8 which isn't a million miles away from my all-time PR of 130kg x 6; this shocked me since I am 10kg lighter now than in those days!

I'm actually gunning for a 6-pack, not so much for the actual 'abz' but more for the low body fat. Once I get to that point, I can begin gaining strength in earnest. As things stand, I do 3 x ramping sets of 6 and if I make 8 reps on the highest weight, I bump things up. Training is about the only thing I'm enjoying right now so I'll be posting a wee bit more

Haha! I've given up on seeing my abs anytime soon, so I will vicariously through you for a while.

And yeah, 6 days a week would be a bear for me too. I'm barely surviving four these days.
