Thanks Nick! 2800-3000, give or take. I just make sure to get at least 190-200g of protein and the rest is carbs and fat. I haven't been gaining weight fast, so seems things are going well. Long time and long way to go though

Nonetheless, apart from hnnng... what was I saying? Oh yeah, monstrous lift there.

Your really blossoming into a solid powerlifter Jay! I really couldn't be happier for you as you always work very hard at it. Looks like Sumo is for you!

Do you have any concerns these days over losing some leverage with hips raising first? I ask because I am now not sure if it is a big problem as it seems your back is made out of steel and your progressing so well with no back issues. I have also come to learn that there are many styles to pulling with no definitive right or wrong way.

At any rate, a big congratz on the heavy duty PR and I sure as hell hope 500 is not as elusive to you as it seems to be for me.

Thanks Super Jim! Yea it concerns me a little. Seems at 90+% or a max no matter how hard I try to keep my low back flatter, it falls into the position. Lower weights I think I've done quite well on my form. So not sure if my low back is tightest in the not optimum position, or if its just a weakness? I think by far my back is real strong compared to the rest of my body. Hard to say something like, that's just how I deadlift, because maybe I am doing it poorly. But I haven't had any back issues at all since converting to Sumos. Conventionals left my low back feeling wrecked all the time. I'm hoping over time I get my low back flatter and my pulls look better. Think adding leg strength will help by not having to compensate with using my back more.
I can say that I feel like I didn't even lift yesterday, no soreness, tightness, nothing, I feel good...cept my head
All part of training to be better, lots to do!!!
