I'll be actually starting pull ups tonight Jay - inspired by you of course! I may have to do some negatives and rack chins as well tho. I should tho be able to get about 3 to start - maybe more since I am lighter now.

It really is time to make this lift my ally instead of my nemesis.

NOOOOOOOOO !!! Heheheee I started with negatives also, cause when I began I could only do 1, lol! But as I've said before, many people wouldn't even consider what I do pull ups. I DO NOT go all the way down completely stretched out. I found out after 4-5 months my back got much more work by getting my head below the bar and then above the bar. So lots would say I'm doing 3/4 or 1/2 pull ups. But it's all about growing my back and strength , and it's working

I know already how you do them Jay. I didn't mean to infer that I will be copying your form tho! I usually do them pretty much full ROM, and I tend to try to use my legs to get some momentum.

What I meant by inspiring was is that you still tackled a lift that you used to suck at and turned it into a lift that made you stronger not only for pull ups but other lifts like pulls. I am all for tackling weak spots and lifts that have good potential for overall strength. I tackled bench last year, which I used to royally suck at, and now it's time to tackle pull ups, which is the only lift left that I royally suck at.

225x 1 ...felt kinda slow and my IT band(I think) on my left leg was soreish???
315x 1 ...tough and thought about not going heavier...F that sh!t!!!!!!! After last week where 315x 1 was all I had really needed to come back strong!

435x 1 PR! ...vid, +10lbs, felt pretty easy, body didn't feel like I did anything! Although I noticed how little my legs help me when pullin, thank God my backs semi strong ! Sat down and after a minute I said screw it, I'm pullin more or will die trying!

455x 1 PR!!! ...vid! F yea!!! +30lbs! Although I wrecked the vid by letting out what sounds like a bit@h scream at the end, lol. I pulled 425x 1 back on 3-19, so that's progress I like! Very proud to pull more than my goal before my bday! Happy Happy Happy!!!
