What the who?! That's crap (and crappy). I have to agree with a lot that's already been said and I'll add my personal thoughts too

Ramrod - the floss/compression bands are no joke. I "splurged" and got the voodoo-x bands (it was only 24$ for 2) but you can get the same benefit out of cutting out the inner tube of a used bike tire. I actually do this on my elbows/knees when they give me trouble and about 3x/week for hip and ankle mobility.

LTL & 5kg - most docs who specialize in sports medicine and alternative medicine are all about active recovery. When I killed my back last year, every PT and chiro I went to wanted me doing as much as I could without or with minimal pain. mobilityWOD has some really amazing stuff and Kelly Starlett is really qualified.

Squatter - just because it looks fine...or to the same tune. I shopped around last year until I found a professional that was willing (and happy) to work WITH me to ACHIEVE my goals in both the health and the fitness realms. A magic pill isn't going to make anything better. You've gotta find someone who is willing to dig deeper along with you!

Anyways, to sum it up - I think there are things that you can do now to help you for the now and for the long run...and keep you from going insane You're gonna be better for this...you just gotta get through it!

Another Update
So some of you may remember or know I have some sort of dermatology issues with my fingertips. They get really dry, crack, hurt, bleed, ect...basically just sucks. About a year ish ago I started taking pregnazone pills, then went on shots. The shots are great and last about 4 months. Well my fingers were getting crappy again so I went to get another shot today. While discussing the future, cause continuing with the shots long term isn't a safe plan as it can or will cause lots of problems since its a steroid. Anyhow during the convo, he said its an anti inflammatory and I asked if it would help or hide knee issues and he said YES. So maybe I've had an issue for awhile and the pregnazone has masked it??? Thought that it was very interesting as my knee issues appeared during the last month. I can't remember if this might have happened before or not. But my hope is along with the rest, drugs, stretching and light activity, along with the shot today, I'll be good to go by the meet! While I'm still not really training at all and most likely will e going into the meet incredibly weak, I have hope that I won't have pain before lifting! I know I'll be one sore ass mofo after though ! But anyhow thought I'd share that, hope you're all kickin ass!!!!!!

Interesting. Hopefully it will cure the pain for the meet and then you can focus on the problem that's causing it when it's over.

I'm not qualified to give any advice here, but my gut instinct is: "Be careful".

Worst case, there will be other meets. But of course, I understand completely that you might just want to go in this one, regardless of how challenging a proposition that is.

And I'm pretty keen on the power of good ol' human will myself. So, well... whichever way you go Hunter, I hope things pick up for you, quick smart.
