405x 1 ...vid, no straps. Nothing great, didn't feel very strong today, maybe from too much last week? But had my mind set at pulling 405 with no straps today and I accomplished that!

250x 10 PR ...vid, went with 60%ish for some reps! Was way too difficult and too much like cardio, which sucked . I was huffing and puffing after that, lol! Shouldn't have been that tough!

Ah, that's why I thought there were so many deadlifts going on: "sumo" squats *and* sumo deads all over the place. All I saw was the sumo bit sometimes. Well, that and the distracting pics...

Anyway, I know which it is this time. Watched the video, which helps.

edit: That 405 looked easy. Not saying it necessarily was, but I reckon there was some more lbs in you.

I'm a bit surprised you were able to jump from 315 to 405 without any apparent issue. I always have to do 1 single in between in order to prime my CNS, otherwise the 405 likely will be either a miss or a mess. It's also very good that you seem to have adjusted to lifting well without the VG's. Again, I remember I had to reset my weight in order to adjust. So, a big congratz on what really was a great pull SumoJay!

Thanks Super Jim! Yea I might be better off hitting a rep or too between, vs a bigger jump. But to me it's sort of like a waste of my energy and an extra smashing of my head, if that makes sense. I try to be at least a little warmed up. After that it's get to my top set as quickly as possible. Not time wise, I take long rests between all my sets usually, but when I'm ready to go, it's usually just bigger jumps.
The 405 was tough, probably from the heavy stuff last week. But needed to know mentally that I could hang on without the grips. I'm very nervous about pulling heavier without straps cause I rarely do it. It was just a mental lift I needed.
