Thanks Ben.

My Boy just set a PR tonight for Deads all reset method, 15 reps w/95lbs. His Bw was just under 110 tonight, believe he will be around 130 by the 2014 with the same or less bf.
He should be pulling in the 2s by late this fall, currently he can pull around 150 1rm. His best bench is 55lbs for 10 and I stopped him there. Since his form is much better the weights are just taking off just upped all his weights and he's crushing his weight rep pr's. A 125 bench might be in the cards for him yet this year too but his body will dictate everything. His ohp is almost exactly the same as his bench everytime he does these I get the itch to ohp again. His squat is a little under the pulls always been that way they continue to progress he goes below parallel.

I'm having to rethink if its worth continuing to push with some physical issues that are becoming more serious. Have upped my recovery efforts to help the body do what it does best.
My hip glute/hip is no better and now my shoulder has sharp pain. I'm contemplating what to do here.
Currently think there's a need to drop benching twice a week get in a shirt with minimal sets/reps to keep the cns up and switch to db's for assistance work.
Spirits are up, this is just an aspect to pushing the limits of the body.
The hip is a bit harder for me to train around not sure if a leg press would help or not.

Did some light high rep shoulder work just moving blood in the area will do this everyday for a while take measure how the body responds.

Stay Hungry!

Looked promising OMP ... It so great that you are focusing more on his form / posture rather than the wts. Wts. will come along in no time.

Hopefully doing your bench in shirt or with DB will help easing shoulder pain. I personally couldn't do DB presses during shoulder problem as was unable to lift the DB. Keep up the good work buddy .. and have a speedy recovery ...

That's the way my friend trained his son good form 8+ reps on heaviest set(s) for the Basic lifts. It's Wendler's program which led his 12yr old son to 4 state records. My boy is 12 now and finally figured out if he eats big he grows like a weed.

As for my stuff already on top of recovery work.
Twice a day rotator cuff work, foam roller, softball/tennis ball for tissue work on all affected areas.
Not sure what training I'll do main just focus is on healing before things fly apart again.
All i can think for the hip is walking plus the tissue work.

Thanks Ravi,

Shoulder work wu's
Bench raw
95,135,185,225-(5) shoulder felt like crap sharp pain
Ram
275-3 2bd
315-1 2bd
315-1

Shirt
315-1 nt
340-1 nt
370-1 nt
400-1 nt

Push downs
2 sets high reps

400 got out of the groove a little which slowed the bar speed some. I kept waiting on the 400 to sink pulled my elbows in, no luck. Bar speed was fast on all presses. Shirt made a big difference for the shoulder, the ram not so much.
Intent was to just do shoulder recovery work, won't bench again this week will continue recovery work twice a day.

Strong work OMP .... I think you should stop raw working for some time till your shoulder is better ... Even the lightest of the wt. can cause damage if it is not healed up properly. Kudos to you that you go for a 400 despite that problem. Hopefully that rehab work will do good for your shoulder buddy ... keep smashing the wts. ...

He's excited about the gains especially how quickly they are coming right now. Set another PR tonight benched 65lbs for 10 reps. Plan on adding poly work and uphill sprints this summer.

More young one PRs for the win! How old is he, sorry if I missed it reading through your log to catch up? Ok, does his PRs feel better than when you hit one, be honest! Although I think I know the answer
