Just read through a couple pages of your log, Sorry to hear about the injury it sounds like its bumming you out. When shit doesn't go my way i take it as a life lesson, I've said " Live and learn" a lot this past year but each mistake/set back is a hard learned lesson not to be forgot, its set backs that propels us forward in life. Thanks. Yeah I am down to work with the pain but when it's a new one and I don't know what it's from it sucks. It's tender today and when I wear a compression brace it's fine, I just can't really point my foot up too sharply or it feels like I'm breaking my foot .

I'll be starting promptly Monday with training. Going to implement more mobility/stretching pre-workout and maybe do something gpp-like (jumping jacks, maybe push ups) something that can help get blood pumping.

I really want to do cardio because now that I'm not sick and because I didn't eat much for 3 days I'm pretty well cleaned out and it's like I have a clean slate of eating decent. If I can get me some GPP or cardio work in somehow either here at home (I DO have a stationary bike and road bike.. lots of sidewalks and my neighborhood is built in big circles) so there's no reason I can't do something I'm just lazy.

Cutty that's the right attitude to have. Challenge yourself daily to do more.
Do what you can to work around or thru adversity.
Not sure jumping jacks are the best selection but mobility work and search for exercises that promote blood flood yet don't stress the injured site.

I'll figure something out. The job I'm working at again is kind of one that you move a bit.. most days I deliver parts, so if people order heavy stuff like rotors and stuff I am carrying and walking around so that helps a little bit.

I think I'm going to dust off this exercise bike I keep wanting to sell but no one wants.. it's not the best or most comfortable but I can go sit out there and sweat my ass off and be in my own place no one has to see me, can listen to music or read or meditate or something.. The batteries fall out of it and the plug that goes in the rear you special order and you rig it up but I might just peddle it and do the resistance it is.

So, Monday 5/20 was first day back in another week off. Thanks to the plague that I had, it's jump started my weight loss. I have been eating less and feeling better (and hungry).

Weigh in: 303.6

I don't have my log in the house with me, but I remember the week before last I was at 314. I don't remember if I wrote it down but I remember that weight vividly.

Monday 5/20/13

Squats - 135x8 (warmup), 185x5 warmup, 225x5 warmup - By now, the warmup has turned into a "hmm my muscles sure are fatigued right now". I went up and did a 275x5 and it was a little sloppy. Overall I wasn't happy with this. I'm going to drop the weight a little bit to get the stamina back with squats. Granted I've been sick and not able to lift consistently, but kind of sucks how I can be so far off one day and nailing them the next.

Straight leg DL - 135 warmup, 225x8, 225x8, 225x8. Mostly hit these to try to make up the crappy squats. This felt good, great contractions and stretching going here.

Leg Extensions - 110x8, 110x8, 110x8, 110x8 - 30 second strict rest in between. It wasn't terribly heavy but the burn was crazy.

Today 5/21 I woke up and my legs are sore as all heck. DOMS isn't an indicator of a great workout or not but holy hell.
