I wouldn't push that shoulder either. I did and got an impingement, which does sound a bit similar to what you have, btw. Go see a doc and find out though. Sometimes some easy rehab stuff and ibuprophen might be all you need. Foot too. I avoided doctors for years to my detriment. Now I go for anything out of the ordinary bad. Just my .02

Hang in there. One day at a time. Every step forward, no matter how small, is not a step backward. No doubt progression will be had, but it doesn't have to had right this minute.

Rock on.

Thanks everyone. Just one of those days.

Swede: No I haven't done cardio/gpp lately, something has always been hurt either an ankle or a foot and it just makes it worse. I know I need to do some but it's kind of hard to knowing it's just going to make you unable to walk later.

Squats tore my legs up they hurt (but that's an ok hurt)

Maybe a concept II rower if you have access is a good choice? I use that myself to save my joints from running. Or work a tire with a sledge or flip it. Cardio dont have to suck! Swiming for distance is another option thats great for recovery and conditioning.

You and I have talked before about what lifting has gotten me through. You don't stick to it, I kick your ass, heard?

Anyways, Glad to hear squats went well. Keep truckin'!

Hey man, sorry to hear you're beat up.

I love the rowing machine, used it a lot when I was playing rugby at university. Perfect for bigger guys to get some "off-feet" conditioning.

There is a load of stuff here Rowing Fitness for Rugby.

It's rugby specific but there is some "light week" stuff about half way down that will break you in gently. As with everything, start it light and build up. I think you could easily apply the sessions to other bits of equipment e.g. stationary bikes.

Hope you heal up fast.
