Very nice 300 lb bench.
Not sure how you can squat after deads? More manly than me I guess

Big work! Heavy Bench Deads and squats all in one session is intimidating! Keep smashing! Congratulations on your son's 3rd birthday!

So you hit a 300 paused bench RAM-less?

Yeah was pleased enough with it for now, only 5kg less than my current paused PR.

This was actually without the RAM as I forgot to pack it in the bag. Gutted!

Deadlift VGs and DOH
60kg x 8
100kg x 5
130kg x 3
150kg x 1

A lot harder than it should have been

Squat
60kg x 8
90kg x 5
110kg x 2
130kg x 1
140kg (305lbs) x 3 – 3sets
Actually did the last set with 150kgs as the 140kg was good.

Notes
It was my first sons 3rd birthday on Saturday so diet was woeful all weekend… or really enjoyable depending on what way you look at it!

Weekend was spent on a bouncy castle and legs felt it today , along with the knee (strangely enough) once I got warmed up on the squats it felt fine.
Really wondering about my deadlift and lack of progress after that 180x3x3
Freakishly strong and impressive session! You have a bigger set of b@ll$ than I do sir!

Not a hope of that Dz still consider myself a novice lifter – lots to learn!

Thanks big man – the overhead pressing paying dividends – ever since I started using it again in your program since April.
So once again, thanks for that!

The Road to 600
3 JULY 2013

Deadlift VGs and OH
60kg x 8
100kg x 5
125kg x 3
150kg x 2
170kg x 1
190kg x 1
210kg (460lbs) – 3 Singles

OHP
40kg x 8
60kg x 5
75kg x 2
85kg x 3
92.5kg (203lbs) x 3 – 3sets

Paused Squats
60kg x 8
100kg x 5
120kg x 2
140kg x 1
152.5kg (335lbs) x 2 – 3sets
20 Rep Squat
105kg (230lbs) x 20 PR
From last week , every time I make progress on these it will be a PR.

Notes
Solid session today , happy with it , hopefully more to come!

Usually I wouldn’t bother tracking a PR unless it’s a 1RM – but I am proud of this one – ive been working my socks off since April at these.
back in April my first effort was 8reps with 90kgs (bodyweight) ,
today was 20reps with 105kg at bodyweight of 93kg
nice to see the progression from week to week,
Amazing what a bit of patience and persistence can do….
