Pardon the commentaries on the squats lol.

During my last meet prep, I did CG for about two months. Every rep of every set was extremely close grip (thumb length from smooth). I was doing this because I had tweaked my pec. Now I assume the bench gains weren't just from doing everything CG, but just in case a lot of the gain WAS from the CG, I'll be doing all my bench down sets CG.

Love the commentary "Dude, look at how sstrong he is" I was looking all right. I can appreciate how hard those are as I did thaat weight 2 weeks ago for 3 triples. You made it look easy-ish as set 5 looked just as good as set 1. Nice work. Your going to be a force to be reckoned with in Richmond.

I'm not that much experienced but it looked good ... Was that some sort of Speed squats ... ? Those were quite speedy for 396 lbs ...

haha When the set was done, I looked over and the two of them are just laughing their asses off. Had no idea what was going on until I watched the video.

This weight is still about 5% less than I'll be using for the first bit of this training cycle. This was 75%, and most of my triples will be at 80% (at this point, 192.5kg, but I might go 195kg).

Everything should be "easy" in the sense that you still get work (5x3 is plenty of volume, when factoring in the front squats), but can still practice technique perfectly.
