Okay fair enough, hmm it still seems you're leaning forward a bit. If that were me, my hands would take a fair strain at the bottom.

For my money you're just still sitting back to initiate the downward movement. Like I said before slow it down, and concentrate on breaking at the knees. You should be able to get about halfway down with a perfectly upright torso. That should at least start you off right.

The strain actually wasn't too awful, but I am seeking a more upright torso still. It is slightly better, and my mental cues were exactly that. Still a work in progress. I don't think you understand just how bad my ankle mobility actually is. My knees don't travel past my toes unless there is a significant amount of weight there lol. I'm constantly working on it though and it is getting a bit better.

lol That's what those bright red mother fuckers are (which I'm front squatting in). Might get half an inch past my toes with them, that's it. Can you buy insert heels?

I saw them!

But also get some plain dress heels and give yourself an extra inch or two (wahaaay) and that should also make a difference.

By the looks of it you're not going to get much past your toes, you have relatively short/normal femurs. So don't worry about ending your knees up at any arbitrary place, you just really do need to slow down the descent and focus on pushing the knees out. If you look at the very bottom position of your Fronts, you actually dip your knees forward again right at the bottom. So you have the flexibility, just your descent is all wrong.

Look at how slow I'm descending here. Eventually sure it'll speed up but to begin with, we need to put the body in the correct position, then drill that form over time, then and only then will it become natural.

Thanks, Faz. I'll keep trying to slow it down. During my earlier sets of the day I was much slower (purposely) as per our last discussion about this. To be honest, I didn't get video of it, so I can't say if it was any better. That 140kg felt like eternity on the way down, so I can only imagine how slow it needs to be lol.

Another chance to work on this on Friday!

Front squats need a bit of form work, but awesome that Coach Fazc is in the house! Sumo's, on the other hand, looked divine to me! Will you be lowering the weight on the fronts?

Ya, I will. Yesterday the desire to see what I could do got the best of me for once. It was fun, but it's back to the drawing board until they're perfect. I don't settle for less.
