Iain - Haha, can't miss me!

The single isn't massively important, it just gets ramped up so I stay in touch with the heavy weight. The important work is the back offs. Reaching 160 for one set of 8 for example would leave me in a good position to nuke a 200 single... eventually after some more work on 5's, 3's etc. I'm quite confident that 140-145 for a top set of 8 will also eventually result in a 180 single.

I hit some pretty big PR's last month if you remember so we're just going back and staying away from big singles for a while and building more of a base. It might be a couple months before I hit single PR's again but when I do I'm fairly confident they'll be big.

Lisa - Of course!

Nothing really about the cardio system, I'm just far heavier than I ever have been. So the combination of being heavier than normal and also being quite "new" to this bodyweight means my cardio system has taken a hit. The 8s just wind me, but individually they're not that hard.

Lovely session up in Oldham. The 8's are looking good and according to Tom it probably is my cardio system which is making them feel hard, 'cos the reps look easy.
