Thanks, everyone. And yes, Lisa, first meet ever. I never thought I would ever step into an arena of sport again after I graduated high school as anything but a spectator! This is a bench-only meet, and it is sanctioned, so it's a good way to get my feet wet and get the full-on Iron Bug.

My brother's 30th birthday party was the night before this, so hopefully super-fresh, I will be able to hit big numbers on Saturday.

Found out that the meet is sanctioned by the SPF, so I need to go and review the rules. I'm still really enjoying having training partners. I have found it helps keep me in good rest times as well as helping give me feedback on form and such.

I've been so super-stoked for this meet on Saturdayfor the past couple weeks. Bench is definitely my least favorite lift, but I'm okay with just getting out there and competing as well as hanging out with the guys and having a day off of work (last day off was ??????).

I am going to start keeping a nutrition and supplement log up to date after this Saturday. I'm looking to cut about fifteen pounds to 245 and will probably use carb backloading like I originally set out to do a couple months ago.

Leading the gym in Squat 1RM. Which is pretty amazing. I felt so good afterwards. I definitely was going crazy getting psyched up and there was lots of yelling and hitting of the bar and squat rack. Almost headbutted it

Now to rest up and get ready for Saturday. Looking forward to the meet and looking forward to hearing all about everyone that is going to the UPA meet.
