Thanks Lisa. I was just sitting around Friday night after work and said, "Dammit, I want to lift tomorrow." I think I'm hooked

2 Scops Juggernaut HP about 15 minutes prior. I'm not feeling the kick like I used to. It may be that I've gotten used to it, but I dunno. I don't get that tingley feeling anymore.

Squats
Warmup: Bar/8, 135/8, 185/5, 225/3, 245/1
Working:
1x8@260
3x8@300

The last set was pretty rough. I haven't done "High Rep" sets like this in a while, and especially not with this weight. Used the belt for all working sets to get a feel for it. I'm still trying to find the right placement for it, as the gap between my hipbones and my ribs is pretty small. A little bruised from it, but I'm sure breaking it in will help some.

Narrow Squats
3x8@225

My quads were feeling SMOKED by this point.

Superset quad extensions and ham curls
1x20@100e/70c
1x20@75e/70c
1x18@75e/70c

My quads felt about ready to pop out of the skin by the time I was done. SUPER pump.

It's a rainy day in Alabama. Perfect day to be stuck at work. Except I kinda tweaked my knee while in the cooler today. Hopefully it's nothing and will be healed by Wednesday night when I celebrate my last final by doing rack pulls. On the somewhat bright side, many of you know I've been nursing an ankle injury for a while now. All the pain is gone now, so I think it's healed!

Yep, BIG is not easy right from the get go. However, you will reap the benefits of the high rep weeks further into the program.

Nice to hear your ankle has healed up!

Thanks, Jimbo. I still have a brace to wear for the rough days, but I think that's just par for the course. I've been about ready to crawl back into bed after the past couple days with this program! I did make the mistake of doing those squats before a double shift. That ain't gonna happen again. Haha.

Thanks, Lisa. I'm not seeing any swelling, just feeling a little discomfort. I still can squat down pretty easily and it hurts to put it on the ground (like bruising). I'll probably try and hit some light leg extensions and such tonight just to keep the blood flowing to it.
