I am quite looking forward to lifting today, even after a late night of studying. This whole Boston mess has had me stressed out. One of my best friends is an OR tech at Boston Medical Center. And since they are state-run, they took on the majority of the injuries. Her dad is also a police officer in one of the suburbs, and I just can't help but worry for them. Lifting always takes me out of myself for a little while, so it'll be nice for the break. Heavy SKWAT today!!

Default 4/19/2013-Revamp day!

Tweaked the program today. As I've mentioned before, I feel like I underestimated my strength going into this. Using the template, I feel I got everything in order. Today is the first day in a while (except for heavy deadlift days) that I felt like I was doing some REAL work.

2 Scoops of Juggernaut HP. Still good stuff.

Warmups on squats: a good bit.
Working on squats: 2x1 @ 365#

Ammonia is some good stuff. Definitely a must-have for any heavy lifter's gym bag.

Bench: 5x4 @175#

I am ready for my KLA 2000s (24 inch) to get in tomorrow so I can destroy heavy bench day on Sunday. I feel like a kid on Christmas Eve!

Deadlifts: 3x3 @ 240#

Felt light today, but a good light that still had me working.

I'm ready for some rest tonight. I never knew how little the last month of classes suck when you actually apply yourself all semester. It still sucks, but it feels really good.

Thanks, Jimbo! Love me some squats! And yeah, I'm looking forward to the wrist wraps partly because they will help my bench, but also because it is a milestone in the sense that it says, "Coley, you're getting more serious about this."

Oh, they definitely were. Which is something I might make a video about soon.

So, I am not a runner, by any stretch, but the local running shoe store is having a 2.62 mile run on Monday night in support of victims of the bombing at the Boston Marathon. I haven't run over a mile in a couple years, now, but I'm gonna go give this a shot to show my support. I'll probably be the only powerlifter, but who cares? I'm awesome.
