Thanks guys. As promised, here is video. I kinda go nuts at the end. One of these days I'd love to have someone video EVERYTHING. Getting psyched up, hitting the ammonia, the set up, the lift, then the craziness that happens after.

Default 7/20/2013 First Meet

Team Strong Inc. from Northport, AL, participated in the Gold's Gym Benchpress invitational yesterday. This was my first meet, and I am officially hooked.

First off, the gym is very impressive. Really nice locker rooms, wicked aerobics room with a springy floor, water massage tables, etc., etc. The main gym has all your machines and cardio equipment and is kept in very nice shape. And then, when you go to the way back of the gym, you get to the Power Room. It's soundproofed and looking in from the main gym is a double-pane glass window with chain link fencing inside. Two benches, a monolift, Elite FTS power rack, old school leg press (I hadn't seen one like this since middle school football), deadlifting platform, and all the big boy dumbbells are contained in this room. Pretty sweet space.

As I mentioned in the team MAB thread, this changed from a Bench-only meet to a push/pull. I had a lot of fun getting my feet wet in competition and will hopefully be competing again in, at the latest, two months.
