Really doing BIG big justice Hit! Pullovers is such a great lift as I have always believed the pecs and back need to be stretched well and respond to that. Great enthusiasm as always.

Yesterday was supposed to be squat day, as I only planned on playing 9 holes of golf with my dad. Turns out at the nearest course, you can play all day for 25 bucks. We ended up taking our sweet time on 18 holes and I was totally worn out. My lats were sore last night as well as my shoulders. I haven't played golf in over 2 years, probably.

I had to make a lifestyle change last night, which I am okay with. My legs have been growing like crazy (one of my goals getting back into lifting). This being said, I have been a boxer-briefs guy for a few years now. I am having to make the change back to plain boxers as I would really like to keep the circulation in my legs.

Default 6-4-2013 BIG Week 5 Squats: Yet more SFW

Warmups felt a bit heavy today, but once I got into the heavier weights, I felt great. Oh, and it turns out I've been using a 55 pound bar instead of a 45 pound bar for squats. Oops.

Everything 325 and over felt LIGHT. Like, seriously. I feel a good chance at 450 if everything keeps going this way. I have started taking a little wider stance (maybe a foot width from shoulder width) and this feels a lot more powerful.

Narrow stance squats: right at shoulder width

Today was really good. I'm happy with the results and feel a lot more energetic now that I'm actually eating a lot more again. I cut out too many calories trying to do carb backloading. That coupled with leading a pretty active lifestyle just didn't really mix. Maybe one day I'll do it again and have better success.

I'm thinking that a 500 pound deadlift is in my sights, at least a 430 pound squat (at LEAST), and at least a 315 bench will happen when I get done with this cycle. I think BIG is something I can sell out to for a LONG time.
