Thanks, Lisa, Jimbo, Swede. I feel that 500 is gonna come in July. Yeaaah baby!

Went and hit the stair-stepper at the fire station today to train for the fitness test. Everyone is very kind and supportive, giving me tips and all. The event is a 20 second warm up at 50 steps per minute and three minutes at 60 steps per minute while wearing a 50 pound vest with an extra 25 pounds added onto the shoulders.

Did one cycle unweighted, one cycle with 50 pounds, one cycle with 75. My goal in four weeks is to be able to do 3 cycles fully loaded.

Is this all about becoming a Fireman or is it Firemen getting involved in the community to promote fitness? At any rate, it really sound like a great conditioning activity. I used to do the stairclimber at my old gym and I would usually do about 250 floors.
