Yeah, it was pretty nice. I wish there had been heavier weights, but oh well. Anything is better than nothing? I'm not too worried about the legs cuz they always come back strong, even after long breaks. I'm not used to high reps anymore, so I got kinda winded. If you look at the rest of the log, you can understand why!

It took me about a month to get used to higher reps, but it was worth it as I feel they are also making me stronger. I neglected rep work for way too long. Nice job going down and getting some lifting in when most people would not.

Most effective leg workouts for me are based on Kris Gehtin's DTP where you do sets of 50reps, 40, 30 , 20 , 10, 10 , 20 , 30 , 40, and 50. Freakin awesome.

Well, guys, vacation has been mostly good so far. I have gotten to see lots of family I haven't been around for a few years. Lots of good food and drink and company. Yesterday was pretty rough as I came down with a stomach virus of some sort. I haven't felt this week in ages. Luckily I am better today, so life is good. So dehydrated, though. I hope everyone has had good lifting and I'll probably check back in Saturday night if not sooner.

Well, guys, the trip was great. Iowa is damn cold, though. Buried the ashes of two of my dad's uncles, and as awful as it is that we had to do so, each was from a different side of the family, so I got to see almost everyone. I also got to see my maternal grandmother some, as she was a stopping point on both the drive up and the drive home. It had been seven years since I had visited Iowa, which is far too long. This time, however, I was able to drink with the cousins and uncles, an experience that was illegal last time I visited. There was plenty of good food to go around, and luckily I bounced back after the virus ran its course and keptme down for a day or so.

Classes start again tomorrow (last week was spring break), and lifting shall resume lifting on Tuesday. I hope it gets my appetite plenty stimulated, even though tonight it seemed like it was doing pretty well (Made a happy plate of my own as well as assisting my sister and Mom in making theirs happy, as well). I've missed lifting, but some things are worth a lot more than a bunch of metal moving up and down.
