weather took a lot out of me while working...did 10-4:30 on 2 pieces of bacon, an egg and lots of water/gatorade. After work, had a bowl of cereal, some rest, a shower, some creatine and was lifting at 6:30.

Skipped some stuff due to the heat, the dog and some wisdom?

went into the last deadliftset thinking "225x3 max, not gonna go for extra reps." Man, I hit three reps and yelled "Fuck it" and banged out 3 more easy reps. Something exploded in my brain..everything felt great for a minute!

Felt dat der pump on the bicep curls. Ooh, gonna feel it tomorrow!

i like how you set realistic, breakable goals. i think that's very effective and creates momentum.

that's crazy, especially on a hot day. i know you must've been starving like 30 mins. after that meal and then all throughout the day.

Comments
Had a fairly lazy day (finally!) so energy was good.

I know I can move more weight for all 3 workouts, but I will remain patient and march along to keep the positive momentum going!

Strength was good/consistent on the pressing. Left pec felt very good. Only right arm was a little tight.

Mobility work feels much smoother...improving!

Dog was licking my face on each push up rep.

Good volume. Slow and steady makes for good gains and long lifting careers.

Glad life slow down just a bit for you to enjoy a day. Looks like another quality day of training in the books.
Talked to the wife about moving to AK as I hate the heat and love the wilderness. Apparently it would be a long distance relationship if I moved there.

Thanks. My WO's feel really purposeful...the conscious effort to blend strength and mobility (without separate yoga or other voodoo) has been great. It's efficient and has been effective.

Thanks, OMP. The extra rest is already showing as improvement in my sleep and reduction of pain/tension all over. Training is already in a greeove and I'm loving it.

As for moving and long distance working out...it depends on the wife!
