Ok so today I wanted to do deads, but figured I would take it easy and just do some high rack pulls. I did come out of the gym feeling a little more manly than on Wednesday lol!

High rack pulls (mid knee)
135 x 10
225 x 5
315 x 5
VG's
405 x 5
455 x 3
495 x 3 PR
545 x 1,1,1 PR
OK I'll take a 90lb PR Could have pulled more but left a little in there.

Shrugs
315 x 15 x 3
Right trap did not like these at all, but I kept them smooth and controlled.

Threw in some calf work and outta there!!

Nice job taking it easy You actually can't handle easy.

I actually find rack pulls harder than full deadlifts. Something about doing them from a dead stop at that height - might have been my weak lower back issue tho.

Haha Jim you're right! I hate easy. Seems so pointless I was a bit surprised how easy 545 was to be honest. I'm thinking maybe next week to try mid shin pulls, then the following week drop down to full pulls?

Thanks JD! Both traps and the upper back feel the work, but in a good way. Shoulder seems none the worse for wear from pulling, so I am happy about that
