See the Doc now...I put off shoulder pain a few years back, waited until it was really bad, buy then PT was a waste of time and I needed surgery. To this day I wished I got med attention sooner, who knows how it would have turned out....

The iron is there during my times of happiness, sadness and anger. The iron is there available through the 4 seasons and inclement weather. The iron is there to either comfort me or motivate me. The Iron manages to show me how strong I am or how humble I need to be. The iron does not yell, but it always demands respect. The iron is not a disciplinarian, but when disrespected, I feel it for a long time. The iron does not love or hate, but we definitely share a strong bond. And no matter how far I stay away or for how long, the iron is there, waiting to be lifted.

Is there a sports medicine clinic you can go to? I had to wait 6 months for my appointment for my back, which just happens to be tomorrow!
Hope your back appt went well Jim This is America, we don't have to wait for the summer thaw before we can go see a doctor lol I'll have my GP look at it Monday while I'm getting stuck, and I'm sure he will refer me to someone more knowledgeable in the area of sports related injuries.

Well Marvin I've already put it off for 6 months so another few days of not lifting isn't going to hurt it much haha!

Hope it's good news from the doc! I had shoulder pain three years ago and couldn't bench, but was afraid of really bad news, so avoided the doc. But, after finally going, it turned out it was just an impingement and all I needed was a cortisone shot and 6 weeks of therapy. Boom. Able to bench ever since. It is still wonky sometimes, but no big deal really.

Hope it's something easy like that for you too, buddy!

I'm training with a partial labrum tear have been for several years. Its getting stronger finally, still can't incline or overhead press. There's always pain but the joint still functions correctly if I keep my arm under my jaw line unlike my knee joint. I did opted for knee surgery on over 4 years ago.NG

Rich if you find you need surgery just make sure you get a highly reputable sports Orth. I don't care if it cost more $ out of your pocket its money well spent.

Talk to so many athletes that have had repairs on their shoulder's never heard its back to normal (pain free yes) also heard its worse requiring multiple surgeries a few times.

Hope you find it doesn't require surgery and can get you back to pushing pr's again.

My geezerness is showing through Alan. I've got a groin issue that's giving me grief too, so it looks like my body is telling me it needs a little break. I'll be back in the gym next week, but probably not squatting again just yet.

Thanks OMP! I'm hoping it's nothing and I'm just a wuss I will find a good surgeon if necessary. Did that for a meniscus issue years ago and had the Cowboys surgeon do it and it turned out great!

Thanks Jay. Groin slightly better, shoulder not so much. Will get the ball rolling at the GP tomorrow afternoon. Going to leave squats off the menu until the groin is 100%. Leg press, hack squats, and leg extensions I guess for the time being.
