Think the squats took it out of me today. The miss at 4pps I think I was out of position and it did not feel good on the lower back so I set it down. Stopped at 4 reps on the second work set, and ditched the third set. I had nothing left!

Ab wheel

Standing calf raise (bar on back)
245 x 12 x 3 +5lbs
Three teenagers were getting their pump on with seated SM military presses so I did the calf raises in the power rack. Way tougher keeping balance on these!

Squats and deads in the same session? No wonder you ran out of gas...I have a hard time doing them 2 days in a row, let along the same day....Strong work Rich!

I used to love doing deads and squats together, but knees did not. For that reason, I don't recommend us geezers do it, but all the power to you if your body will allow it. When I did do them, I found doing squats after deads easier, as deads are the most taxing of the 2 lifts.
