Power cleans into push press

warmup 45 x 5
135 x 5
165 x 1
185 x 1
195 x 1
205 x 1 +5lbs
I have a tendancy on power cleans over 200 to take a small side step with my right foot The push press was tough but not epic.

Squat Day

Back Squat

Warmup

135 (40%) x 5 supposed to be 125 but too lazy to load 35's with change lol
160 (50%) x 5
190 (60%) x 3

Last rep had a wee bit too much lean, but I was going to get 6 reps or die tryin'

BBB Squat
185 x 10 x 5 +5 reps
Really thought I might die after these

Standing BB calf raise (dead grip)
255 x 12 x 3 +6 reps

Ugly even counts at a meet as long as you make the depth. Just be mindful that 1 rep is not worth a few months off in injury time. Alan here on the site hurt himself recently on an ugly one.

With that said, great effort and numbers Rich. When will you be squatting 3PPS?

Thanks Jim! Yeah it wasn't THAT ugly that I was worried about injury, but definitely hear what you're saying!

Next week my top set is 300x1. I am thinking depending on how that feels, I may try a few heavy singles instead of trying to max rep 300. I also plan on getting some vids for form and depth check if the gym is not a madhouse!

Squat = 325

The iron is there during my times of happiness, sadness and anger. The iron is there available through the 4 seasons and inclement weather. The iron is there to either comfort me or motivate me. The Iron manages to show me how strong I am or how humble I need to be. The iron does not yell, but it always demands respect. The iron is not a disciplinarian, but when disrespected, I feel it for a long time. The iron does not love or hate, but we definitely share a strong bond. And no matter how far I stay away or for how long, the iron is there, waiting to be lifted.
