Well, I bet that must have felt damn good! I am so very happy for you Rich - you've worked so hard to get that 455. 500 is elusive for sure, but I hope we are both able to accomplish it.

Overall a pretty big week for you with the big bench and pull - definitelt some R&R is in order! (and more steak!)

Thanks Jim! I'm sure you have that 500 in you right now or very soon! I was happy to get the 455, but I am a little concerned with my grip strength so I think I will start working a little with mixed grip to see where I am when pulling over 4pps.

@JD: Yes I have versa gripps and I use them for my heavy pulls over 4pps. But it feels like my grip is getting a little weaker, at least DOH, so it may behoove me to work on mixed grip since that's what I will need to utilize come meet time anyway

While some guys can pull maxes double over, there's very few. Btb told me even he can't go much over 315 that way. I'm the same way, barely did 315. He said don't worry about it, get your back strong and grip will be fine. Not saying training without straps now and then is a bad idea, but he told me not to worry . Going to over under, you should be fine.....geezer
