Benches felt good after a while, definitely pleased with that 140. Everything else felt pretty rough while warming up but ended up going well.

I'll carry on playing around with Lunges but I'm not sure I have the space in my home set up to do them properly. We'll see.

Ever given donkey squats a run? Not that they are better or worse, just curious what you think of them. I've tried them a few times.

Today was a victory. I huge step forward for my confidence.

My back is only 80% but squats felt good. I was able to hit 465 and 505 with tight form and explosive speed. This is the first time I have had 500 on my back in about 2 months.

Energy was high, goosebumps were goosing, work was done. Man I love this stuff. Win, lose or draw, there is nothing I would rather be doing than moving heavy iron.

I am fully committed to slow and steady progress right now. I was a bit too aggressive last year with squats. Dialing that back a hair, and setting goals to add +25 pounds to squats and deadlifts over the next 5 years.

I can do this if I train smart.

I believe I can hit a 700 raw squat and 800 raw deadlift by age 50, raw and drug-free. I simply need to continue to refine my training so I am not trying to add 5 pounds every week.

I am excited right now.

Tested deadlifts just for fun. Back wasn't ready.
