Great attitude Ben, which I am sure will benefit you in your job search again. It seems no employers have much, if any, class these days. Loyalty is now non-existent as well. Oh, the good old days!

Hope the benching was at least somewhat therapeutic.

Squattages

Video'd some warmups on the way to 405

Pitched forward on 275

315 looked beautiful on camera, but felt like hell. I have no clue why I'm not able to go heavy.

Backed down to a sweaty 225x6 at least I'm getting better at keeping my chest up and knees out, at these weights anyway, which feel like grinders but shouldn't be

Hamstring curls and abs afterwards. Yes I did abs this time. Watermelon post w/o, still full from pizza but very thirsty. I drink from a milkjug now that I lost my O Boy Obertos Pickled Sausage water mug

I'm nearly 50, so take this with a grain of salt, but I remember every damn bit of those early days scratching out a living, working 2-3 jobs, going to school, etc. . Shit just isn't easy. You gotta dig in and take what you want when it is in reach and resign yourself to losing what is not in reach.

I cringe when I hear idiots who think anybody can be anything they want if they work hard enough. Nope, your genes and opportunities determine your fate more often than not. You can be the strongest guy in your locality, but if you don't have the coaching, equipment, nutrition, etc. you're toast.

I especially hate those idiots who say you can be anything you want to be to younger folk, but omitting the hard work aspect. Nobody can be anything without hard work. But even hard work isn't enough if you got no in towards your particular goal. Don't toy with people, lay it out. You want to be an astronaut, you gotta put in the work and hope for some good luck too.

You have the drive and the skill, opportunities are slim right now, but keep plugging away. You'll get there and I will be damn proud to see it when you do.

I'd say to stop worrying about heavy work and use rep work to get stronger. It's working well for me, as is being on OR's program.
