Many thanks. Last time I did something like that was 5x10 with 40lbs

I agreed to be a wedding usher. No big deal, a few things to remember about seating and walking beside people on the left bla bla bla.

But dancing. Oh hell. I don't mind looking foolish in front of strangers but I don't know about dancing with people I know. Its been so long since I've been to a wedding, dangit.

This question was posed: Is the one arm dumbell overhead a sign of weakness, or simply balance?


Anyway, leave now if you were looking for lifting. That's not for another 20 hours or so. No this is me releasing some random thoughts.

Marc Acetta has a well known personality test based on four colors. In the crudest sense, red is an upfront, go getter type of person. Blue is someone outgoing and upbeat. Green is someone analyzing, maybe critical. Yellow is someone who listens and cares more about others.

No matter what mood I'm in when I do this, I always turn up yellow, then blue, then red. And no I'm not letting a dumbass website define my life, but the thing is I don't feel caring or outgoing.

I admit I work hard on being outgoing and being a good guy. I try not to be in conflict, and when I express my opinion I think I do it tactfully. Whether online or in person, which I don't make a distinction between, I befriend most people, help them, listen to them. So I guess I am "yellow."

I don't feel it though. Inside I want to rip peoples heads off when I hear "vegan" or some sort of tree hugging, anti gun goodie too shoes type. There are only a few people around me here that know these things, all to a varying degree. I almost hate to go on the interwebnets and spill my guts because I'm sure all you people who I feel friends with probably don't want me around you and your family.

At least I'm not saying this in the shoutbox

I have succesful people around me that do a lot trying to help me. The problem is I get all fired up but when these fuckers keep calling me at 8am every single day trying to encourage me it just pushes me away. I know they mean well. I told one guy this and now he thinks I hate him. I have so many ideas, I just have to keep working at it and trust the process. But it seems like three times recently I came across a serious oppurtunity, extra education and what not, but I didn't have the money to put into it at the start. I need to get started somehow. I know I can build an empire and do anything I want if I can just get out of first gear. If only I get a call from this company tomorrow. If I save enough money for a few months I can be a rich bastard. That is all. Tomorrow I destroy some weights.

Wed June 5th (June already!)

Waited on a little pig to finish his shallow squats with the pad on the bar. Then I introduced myself and politely said "I would love to get ahold of the shithead who leaves plates on the bar for others to clean up." He nodded his head and left the gym when I walked away. Speciality bar rows. Football bar? I couldn't get more vids in the crowded place.
225 2x4. Screw that.


Power shrugs, pins set one lower than usual, so a little above my rack pulls. Great position for a PR of 505 x12.


I wanted to plank, but I was pooped.





Tomorrow I do drug screening and all that in preparation for night shift as a floor polisher. Yippie. One step closer to world domination.

Friday I do reps with 350lbs on the squat. Next week at least 2 singles with 375. Then on to 405 the week after!

The bench I will wait until I'm working with at least 80s on the dumbell overheads. So at least 4 weeks.

So in 3 weeks I max squat, 4 weeks I bench 285, perhaps 5 weeks I deadlift 425 sumo. None of these with a belt, although I will be buying some gear before long. First thing I want are wrist wraps. Anderson? Elitefts? Slingshot?
