Burn is fine. And I was obeying the law! Just didn't feel like being stopped again simply because it was "suspiciously late at night."

Sadly I have stopped training for the pro hotel bed backflip competition.


Tues May 28th - Gravy Fueled Strength Construction

Speed squats 245 for sets of 3. Lost count of the # of sets, keeping rest minimal. Mostly 1 minute. Playing with different high and low bar places.

Speed bench 165lbs - 3 rep sets, 4 or 5. Felt weak because I tried a wider grip.

I know I get snickered at for going wide like a 400lb geared lifter

High rep dumbell bench, side lateral raises, curls.

I was feeling really tired, overheated and bloated. Less Doritos


Some notes of tonight:

Squats felt heavy, thought I would ship my pants.

Bench was really tight. Left me out of breath.


I'm gonna push weight up on speed work and simply bench more. 315 will fall this year.

Tip: Wait last in line for the water fountain.


A great friend, bless his heart he started talking about lifting. I said if he could devote two days a week he would make good progress (I don't know if he still does, but not long ago I heard Ernie Lilliebridge Jr trained twice a week). I even said if he wanted to I could get him onto an amazing website then came the deal breaker when he said : I don't care nothing about my back or my legs, I just want a little better arms and tone my chest. I definitely don't want three necks like YOU have."

He thinks I have traps, ha! So anyway that was aggravating to hear.

Great workout Ben! Speedy training today ! Sad to see the bed flips have been retired! Maybe you can slap some sense into your friend, but probably wouldn't do any good! Glad the burn is getting better! Keep up the great work!!!

I reckon everyones different, he's a great person but we don't have any reason to discuss lifting. There's not anybody around here that's into it. Actually there is one guy that has a small group lifting in his basement. Met him maybe 3 years ago and I can't seem to locate him...
