Thanks fellas! I took care of the back everyday sat sun and mon. Foam rolled, 100 RDLs w/ bar and some donnie band work to decompress and get my hips to release my back.

Woke up today with just tightness which got better as the day went along, so I decided to squat. Wasn't gonna go too heavy, but I really was getting better as I went along, so figured I'd push it a little.

BIG week 16

warmups: foam roll, hip stuff and some back raise holds off floor.

Squat, just decided to ride singles up and see how far I could go:
1x 275, 295
added belt
1x 315, 345
1x 355 (Just a confidence booster as I really wanted something heavy since this is my last heavy squat before the meet)
2x 315 (Just to see how reps felt, fine. 2nd a little heavy but nothing serious)

Pause Squat:
3x 1x 225 (first one 5 sec WHOA!, next two were 3 sec or less! haha)

Some back yoga and a mess of band GMs for some blood in the low back.

315:
345:
355:
I was just a little tentative which made this a grinder. I was concentrating on not getting forward and keeping my back straight with my hips under me, it kind of messed with my bounce and drive. The weight was never in doubt. and that's up around 95% of my best squat ever so that's good.

225 Pause:

There you go. Good day. Back is almost back to 100%, Squats feel pretty good. I think next week it's just hit some openers and rest up for meet Apr. 6.

Bench tomorrow and Deadlifts Friday JB. I gotta go back to Md. on Saturday.

There you go onward and upward.

Thanks Elite! Not awesome yet apparently. I missed a bench press I had no business missing today. Dammit.

Sorry JB. I honestly don't know what happened. It just drifted a little and stalled, and I couldn't budge it. Close, but no cigar this time. I CAN get that weight though, no question. Just missed it today. I know that's not what you wanted to hear, but there you go.

BIG week 16

warmups: all back stuff just trying to keep the low back on the mend. (Believe it or not, benching today was harder on the back then squats yesterday! NOT an excuse though, that wasn't the problem.)

Bench:
3x 205
1x 225
Pause, added belt:
1x 245, 260
0x 280

280:

260 didn't tape because of battery, but it felt fine. Looking at the 280 now, I just pushed it up over my face right from the start. I don't know why. Hit the underside of the pin too which didn't help obviously.

Just didn't put it all together on that damn lift.

Oh well, that's that. Out of my mind now. I know I can get when my head is together. And this was mental I'm sure of it, Better mental preparation and trusting my form more and I bet that cruises right up.

There you go. Not happy, but it's in the past now.
