Bench looked easy and fast man. Good arch too. I wish I could get myself into that position.

Thanks fellas! I'll set a big total for me for sure, Mike! JB would kick my ass if I didn't! haha. Tom, didn't take me long to learn that arch once I started actually trying to do it. And it totally saves my wonky shoulder. I probably couldn't bench at all without it.

Ordered my RAM today! Should be here in time to start my next routine after the meet. I'm going straight up old school linear periodization, 10 reps to 2 reps over 12 weeks, then test. Can't wait to start that up. I'll post it up next week to see what you guys think. Upping the volume a lot on all my lifts especially deadlifts. But more on that later.

Anyway, last day of BIG. Kinda sad. I bought it though so I can run it again any time. I think JB even used some of my numbers when he wrote it up! haha.

warmups: band hip and leg stuff mimicking what I will do at the meet to warmup.

Squat:
1x 315
1x 330 (opener check)

SOme back and leg stretches and that's it.

330:

Wanted that to be a bit more explosive than it was, but it went up easy enough I now I can stand up with that at the meet no matter what happens.

A week off up next, might do some very light sessions early in the week, but nothing over 135. Then the meet next Saturday. Should be awesome. We'll see.

Thanks Jimbo.

Thanks for noticing Tom. I have spent the last six months really trying to dial in my squat and bench form. My last meet, I was high bar squatting and going too deep and when it got heavy, I was hitting the bottom and getting all out of shape coming back up, often missing the lift. So, I went back to the drawing board and found a groove that worked for me and have been steadily hitting it exactly right ever since.

Same with bench, which has been a bit less consistent, but is getting there. I know the set up I need and have the right cues in mind, just have to execute it properly when the time comes.

I literally just figured out deadlifts a month ago. So I will hit a little PR with them in this meet (fingers crossed), but it will be later this year where that lift really starts to get where I think it should be.

It's coming together. The state championship meet at the end of this year is going to be huge for me. I'm sure of it if I keep working hard and stying smart and healthy.

We'll see.

Thanks fellas. Won't be around much this weekend, but Spring break next week, so I'll catch up with you all then.

Have a nice weekend and a Happy Easter everyone!

Sweet! Plan on packing some ice on those tri's. Your going to have to exercise some self restraint here.

Looks like your ready to Rock Mike! Go on a feeding frenzy next week and Smash some weights!
