Strong stuff dude! Nice position on the GMs, I would just try and keep the legs a wee bit straighter.

Frazc is right. Widen your feet out just a little, and a little less bend in the legs. That is pretty close though. I always describe it as a really bad squat lol.

What do you mean JB! That's the way I used to squat, what are you trying to say? HaHa! Really I used to look like a lawnchair trying to unfold itself without ever having read the manual.

Thanks Fazc, Jim and Mike, I will try them that way.

Thanks Al, Ravi, and Hunter. I figure if JB is doing this for me and Jim, the least I can do is go after it as hard as possible. I'm getting there.

OK, so I really haven't been too stressed on JB's press days, but that ended with a thud today! Board Presses are HARD!! And my arms were literally throbbing by the end of the session.

Friday, JBPP week 2

warmups: 3 min rowing, band shoulder stuff

2 Board Press:
(warmups were regular bench, last warmup was 2x 225)
4x 5x 245 (second set was only 4 reps, just got in trouble and racked it)

Tricep Pressdown:
4x 10x 120

DB Pullovers:
8x 45, 55, 65, 65
these were a treat for the sore Abs, especially after the pressdowns and lifting my fat ass off the bench 10 times! Thanks, JB! J/K!

Circuit:
Face Pulls: 3x 10
Reverse Flys 3x 10x 10
Hammers: 3x 10x 25

First set 5x 245:
Last Set 5x 245, showed the board I made and you get to see where I taught my daugther to say holy crap. Mom's gonna love that! :
Last Set of Pullovers 8x 65, just to see if I'm doing these right:

OK, so I had a lot of trouble with sort of searching for the board, didn't feel like the bar path was ever really right, never felt comfortable at all. And note to self, your first reps with a new form of benching, don't do it with a heavyish weight!! That set was an eye opener!

Holy Cow, I was shocked how hard those were. Does that mean I have weak triceps or something? Every rep felt like a grind even though some maybe don't look that way. Usually, I have some speed going, not today.

Anyway, there yo go. Mission accomplished JB. Triceps demolished.

We probably couldn't conclude that for sure just yet it's a new exercise, once you're comfortable with the exercise and have done it for a few weeks you'll have a better idea. Anyway who cares?! If it helps your Bench, that's the main thing!
