I perfer more of the clean shurg as well, but its whatever works best for you.

You are right about smashing a muscle area. That is the key to the program. Make each muscle group grow, and in the end you will be bigger and stronger!

Outstanding pull day Mike!! Loved the explosiveness.

I like to do my shrug ramp up full ROM until it gets too heavy and then I do power shrugs - sort of best of both world's I guess. My lowewr back starts to scream if I do too many power shrugs.

Thanks Jim. I'm all about not babying the bar on deadlifts anymore. Squeeze it off the floor yes, but then just rip it right on up. No mercy!

Huh, shrugs don't bother my back at all. The straps bother my wrists, though. Not liking that, but it'll get better as I get used to them.

HaHa KD! Had some major back soreness on Sunday!

Righto, JB. Bigger and stronger. Definitly bigger as I can not stop eating lately! I'm just gonna roll with it for now and not worry about weight. But NO crappy food though! I'm still going to keep everything as clean as possible.

Life got in the way today, so am pushing off everything by 1 day. Bench tomorrow and Squats wed. Might see how I feel and go right into bench Aux Thurs and deads Fri. If the squats wipe me out though, I'll skip thurs and lift Fri and Sat. We'll see.

I did find my next meet though. March 23rd. It's a "100% Raw" meet. That Federation puts on at least 4-5 meets a year in Virginia and most of them are at a place only 45 min from my house. Seems like a good event, a bit weird though in there's no squatting. Only bench, deads and strict curls if you can believe that. No chance I'm doing curls!

I can see a push/pull meet of course, but a push/pull/curl meet? LOL Any rednecks? Count me in - let me know and I will fly right down. Maybe they will also have an arm wrestling tourney.

That's why there's no squatting, they're too busy curling in the rack

Seriously jealous of all the meets so close to your home. I've yet to find anything within 200 miles of here! You would think the Dallas Ft. Worth area would have quite a few meets. Maybe I just don't know where to look?

that's great ... hopefully they are doing curls in squat rack to compensate no squatting ... Keep charging hard Mike ...
