I'm trying to think of how to continue this. Squats and DL's fare well with 5/3/1. BP seems like it could stand something different. I don't know about being able to lift more than two or three times a week for the long term. I got lucky for the first two weeks of Smolov, and had to cut a deal with my family for the third week. I dunno. I'll think.

Well the Christy approach has a form of benching on both days. Squat/bench, dead/bench. 2x a week is better than nothing.

Hmmm... that's kind of what I was thinking about doing. A few years ago I did a Push/Pull/Legs thing. I had a notion of modifying it to a Pull/Push/Legs/Push. Funny thing though, that's exactly how 5/3/1 is aid out...

I think it would serve you well. Do the hard work and if you have a third workout in a week do bonus benching and other mischief.
