i have a similar problem... if i dont do this, when i load up a heavy weight it just feels monumentally heavy and impossible... even with my bench the other day, going from 205 to 225 made 225 feel heavy as hell

YES SIR. I miss the powerlifting way! Coming back to my roots slowly. I tend to waste too much energy using weights very close to my max, when doing reps and even doing singles.

To me being warmed up and ready is be sweaty and mentally committed to the lift to the point I know I will do it before I even attempt it. With my Bench Press I am weird, I like lifting within 85-90-95% of my max because 315 feels way to light, but 330+ feels way different, weird.

Depends what part of Jersey, but its an hour or 2 away, not much longer then that. If told in advance, I could most likely make the trip. Know some Strongman crews out in NJ, too. Just fire me a Pm about it.

Always one day late, early afternoon training @ my college, worked out with an old friend.

Narrow Grip bench Press

315x2*Pr, Big things are coming

Speed Pulls with short mini-bands
135x3
185x3
205x3
225x3
*just done out of speed,needless to say I felt I was going to clean the weight*

Pulls ups + Static Pause Dips
bw/4 +3
bw/5 +3
bw/3 +3
bw/1static pause and hold pull up
*Feeling real beat up on dips,muscles are dead, and unstable*

Flush Drop set of curls 40/30/15 + 20rep 1 arm tri-extensions with 30lbs db

Bicep Curl Machine: 7fast reps/7medium/14slow* arm explosion

Partial Dips
bw/8x2

Called it a DAY, way too hot and humid, in the low 90's I believe.
