Last day of week 5 is done. Heavy squat day. Not so bad... My knees and shoulders are feeling just fine today. Squats were easy, although I haven't had that much weight on my back in while. Noticed my grip on the bench press was much wider today than I normally go, but it didn't feel comfortable to use my normal grip. Noticed if i pop my knees outward a little more while setting up for deads, I can get my heels in the ground a little better. Looking forward to finishing this program up and writing my review of it. This has been an interesting learning experience

how much wider was the grip on the bench?

Nice, i benched with a thumb away from the smooth inside for years! Never had peck trouble then. I may go back there with my raw work.

I love how much I have learned about this program, and myself. A few more weeks to still learn some more, and best of all hit my goals. I haven't wrote out my new goals, as I am not sure what route I want to go just yet.

Once I started putting in some serious work, and tweaking my form, I noticed I couldn't go very wide because of my shoulders, but today it felt weird to have my grip so narrow. Def hits my muscles different. I can't wait to see you come back and hit those big numbers again.

Day 1 of Week 6

Heavy Deads today: The program dictates 265 for 2x1. No belt today. I believe 265 is the most I have pulled. Although I pulled 3x3 last time. So three singles wasn't too taxing. Form felt a little weird today. Wasn't as fluid as I like. Stance has been a little wider than normal.

Squats felt great today. The back of my knee was hurting for the last two days so I was kind of worried, but I wasn't going to stop lifting.

Bench went well. Kept my grip wide and my feet flat-ish with my leg drive. Now that my grip is wide I am trying to keep my elbows tucked in. They want to flare out. Most of my mental game was keeping my elbows in.

So far no pain at all, but I haven't been up and moving around long. My guess is it won't hurt anymore. I have no idea what caused it, but it was hurting at the attatchment site for the long head of the bicep femoris near the plantaris muscle.

maybe just being on your feet, or twisted the knee the wrong way. Either way, hope it does not linger.
