I think I need DB flies in my life to engage/stretch out the chest

Thanks Nick, it is a fun program for sure, I can email you a spreadsheet that does all the different cycles of Sheiko too if you ever think of trying it. I think I'm going to do a more advanced cycle next time, probably gonna stick with this style of training all summer and into my DL meet in November. I'm hoping to find a full power meet to get into this summer too.

6-17 Sheiko 29 Week 2 Day 1

Excellent workout today, I smashed every rep. I rounded up to 295 on top squats and 225 on top Front squat. Front squats today were great, I performed them for the first time with my arms crossed in front, the way the weight was seated was fantastic, I felt balanced and very stable, knocked out some deep and controlled fronts today. I was so much in the zone in fact that I attempted a 295 front squat after I finished my sets with 225, It was a solid attempt for the end of the workout. Came deep into the hole and made it a decent bit out before I got stuck, but was able to hold it slightly above parallel long enough to take another breath in and try to give it one more push. Even though I didn't get it I felt good about it, especially at the end of the workout. Currently a couple weeks into d-pol and a week on Epro and ABE from PES. That combined with reckless amounts of calories all weekend had me killing it today. I really enjoy this training style and can't wait to try the more advanced Sheiko programs.

Good work man. Sounds like you need some more rep work on fronts to get your maximal strength up.

Most definitely man, I haven't done any front squats this year at all, they felt awesome today for being out of practice.

A 70 lb jump on fronts is pretty darn agrressive. Props to you tho for finding a grip that works well for you - that is the real big battle with fronts for most of us.

Thanks, I enjoyed the crossed arms, but now I can feel exactly where that bar was and I have some soreness on my right clavicle and all over the outside of my delts, I think my hand placement was making my shoulders rotate and getting the weight off my front delts, gonna have to play with it. It was great for stability and nothing like the wrist shattering clean grip, but it can be better.
