Yes, very easy for him. We are just maintaining because practices are BRUTAL with all the running, hitting, blocking and agility work.

• 1) Isometric Squat Rotary Plate Punches x 10 (each side)
Stay in squat position and twist with 5 lb plate and deliver a blow.

• 2) Overhead Lunges x 5 (each side)
Doing walking lunges while holding a 5 lb plate overhead.

• 1) Goblet Squats x 20 reps
He used a 50 lb dumbbell for these and squatted to a 12" box.

• 2) Medicine Ball Chest Pass x 30 seconds
Kneel down with a 6 lb ball and chest pass it, ending in a pushup position.

• 3) Mountain Climbers x 30 seconds
He had a tendency to bring his foot forward in a duck position. Something to work on.

• 4) Pushups x 30 seconds
Only got 6 reps but they were perfect. Something else to work on.

• 5) Swing Thru x ???
Just teaching technique on these. Hard to get the rythem down.

Notes:
Just trying to maintain some strength and mobility, something they DO NOT work on in football practice. It's enough work to teach the movement patterns but not enough to wear him out; he gets enough conditioning at practices. He is very excited because he gets to be a captain at his game on Saturday. The coach chose him because he is the one single player that makes the most progress from practice to practice, season to season, and even seems to get better in the off season (wink wink). Very proud of him.

Thanks guys. The team just got done playing two of the three toughest teams in the league. They took both teams down to the wire but lost in the final minutes or overtime. They are now 1-2 and sitting in fith place. Have to make it to the top four to get to the playoffs. He was excited because he got to start the defensive line for the very first time.
