DAY 9, 8-27-12

Squat.....189 x3x3x3x3x2x2
Bench.....178 x2x2x2x2x2x2...new PR

5 min break

Squat (80%) 150.5 x8x7x7
Bench (80%) 143 x6x6x6

Rating 11/10....A+++++

wow, finally had the killer workout...everything felt so light. When I first started this progression on the squats, it felt so heavy I thought i would never move up in 7 workouts...today it was so light I checked to see if I had the right number of plates on the bar.

the bench, first day at a higher weight, again, felt so light I loaded MORE and still hit the reps !!!

Hope tomorrow is even better!!!

Very good news. That's the great thing about progression, you almost have to come to expect it because you begin to see that it is happening consistently. If that makes sense.

Good or bad feeling workout, it eventually makes us stronger.

Well done.

Thanks BTB

I am so glad you were able to get me to think constant progression, I am starting to gain confidence that I will actually progress, AND starting to expect it.

Before your help, I did not know the importance of progression and did not train for it, expect it, and, no surprise, experience it.

I am making so much more progress in a shorter time than my first 5 months of ignorant training. On one hand I am pissed I wasted 5 months not knowing what I was doing, on the other hand, 5 months wasted is better than 12 months wasted. Just glad I'm heading in the right direction now !!

Day 10, 8-29-12

Deads.......211 x3x3x3x3x3x2
Mil Press.....99 x3x3x3x2x2x2

5 min break

BB Rows..............110 x7x6x6
Mil Press (80%).....82.5 x7x7x7

Rating 8/10

Missed yesterday due to wifey going into the hospital, so had to make it up today. As good a workout as could be expected with the wife on my mind. With that being said, nothing negative to say, just a little pre-occupied. Hit all the reps, and ready for the next one....
