#28, 10-4-12

Squat.....205.5 x3x3x3x3x2x2
Bench.....172.5 x3x3x3x3x2x2

5 min break

Squat (80%) 167 8x7x7
Bench (80%) 143 x8x8x8

Rating: 8/10

FINALLY hit all 3x8 on the bench...and it was almost too easy, I knew 1/2 way through the second set I would get it. Just a hint of struggle on the last rep.

Due to an unplanned schedule rearrange, I did Mil Press the day BEFORE bench, I thought it would be detrimental, but it did not hurt at all....maybe even helped...THOUGHTS ANYONE???

Squats getting easy also..means its close to "add weight" time.

Off day tomorrow then a rare Saturday workout to finish the week.

Sorry I missed this! Busy day yesterday.

First, well done on the bench. Second, the fact that your benching was not affected by your pressing tells me your triceps are pretty strong.

If you want to try it again, buy all means do so. I think over time as weaknesses improve rest between them is best. Whatever you do keep an eye on your eccentric strength. When your eccentrics feel weaker than normal you generally need more rest.

BTB, every time I add weight, the first day I say to myself. "This is it, there is no way in 7 workouts I will be able to add more." Then 5-6 workouts later...it feels light...Progression at its BEST....GREAT Feeling!!

everything felt heavy, especially the deads.....Had a sharp pain in my butt muscle, can honestly say, first time I ever had a sore butt muscle.....well since my dad handled dicipline the "old fashion way" ....

Anyway, still got everything done.
