I ditched the squat shoe last night and put my chuck's back on for squatting. What a world of difference it made! I think from now on the squat shoes will be used for my bench

Very happy with my session tonight, my squats felt so much better than they have in a long time. I think the oly shoes were throwing me a bit too forward and my body was fighting to get into position. I was pissed I missed 605, but I think with a bit more rest and some more confidence I can get that in the gym. I am very close to being 100% again.

Hey Moe, yeah that is. That's why the weight is so light, definitely get some interesting looks when I am carrying around the 30 # barbell haha.

This week has been pretty stressful, so naturally my eating has been a bit off and my lower workout showed yesterday. Nothing terrible, just felt a bit off but still got the work that I wanted to in.

So I took two weeks completely away from the gym. Between grad school, work, and traveling I just felt like stepping back for a bit. I am definitely feeling better and got back into the gym last night.

Just some movements to get my body back in the right mindset, weights were light and next week I will start back seriously training.

I will be adding conditioning in 4 days a week in some way.
