Hey Steve, my back handles it alright. With my previous injury, that type of volume with that weight definitely puts a huge pump in my lower back. It made it pretty difficult to power through the rest of that session, but I was able to with a little annoyance.

Before I injured my back I was able to handle that type of volume with virtually no pain at all. I really like the swings, it lets me focus on pushing my hips through.

Nothing really to report in the last couple days, traveled home to Pittsburgh to spend some time with the family here. Haven't had a chance to get a workout in, hopefully today or tomorrow before the fesitivities start. Here is my workout from Thursday:

Close Grip Bench ss with Pullups

^The 285 attempts were kind of iffy, I got stuck about halfway up and the spotter put his hands under the bar. Probably provided some help, but as soon as they touched I got the bar moving again.

12 min. AMRAP
10 Power Cleans @ 95 lbs
30 Double Unders
-Finished 5 rounds (this sucked for me because I struggle so much at double unders, really have to keep practicing here)

Rest 1 minute

3 min AMRAP
Hand Stand Push Ups
-Finished with 20

Work on Double Understand Muscle Up's after the session. Was able to string together 17 double unders in a row, which is a huge PR for me. I think I am finally starting to get the rythym down. I was also able to do 3 Muscle Up's unbroken so I am making progress there too, very happy with how things are going.

Going to get some strength based workouts in while I am up here in Pittsburgh, looking forward to doing that!

Thanks guys! I was hoping to go for a PR that day, but my back just wasn't up to. Things took a turn for the worse on New Years Eve. I went in to get a good session in before the evening, and my back went on me. Luckily I think it was just a flare up of my old injury, but I was in pain for the past couple of days. I have progressivley gotten better and got an all clear to start back training again, but will have to scale things for the first couple session.

That's why I have been laying low, just frustration and pain kept me from getting on here, I just hate that injuries happen at the worst possible time (though really when is a good time?)
